I am a sucker for the winter holiday season. And lapel pins remind me of my grandmother and the felt beading ones she used to make. This is my interpretation of the vintage pins that so many wore in her generation.
Each leaf is an original painting. One leaf mimics one variety of holly with a darker green more shiny finish and the second one is a mimic another variety that is more matte and slightly warmer colors. Once they are painted on white cotton I fuse them to a solid green backing then shape and stitch them together with beads. Wear it alone or in a cluster of a few. Arrives in a gift box.
