Description
Early in 2023 I studied the color palette of Claude Monet, mixing up his particular pigments into my textile paint and noticing how he used complimentary colors as an under layer to his landscapes. Of course, I am painting on unsealed cloth where the pigment soaks in and layering is more difficult.
But I am very pleased with how this theory worked out for me. This is one of the experiments, a historic Inn in Vermont on lake Champlain, using an orange like the sunset reflection underneath to make the blue areas pop.
