Description
This patch work quilt started with a single piece of fabric that I printed on my paint board with textile medium. I used a paint rake to create a background pattern and then made secondary and third pattern that was over-printed. The final coloration was inspiration for the commercial fabrics that I chose to piece into it. The detail gave me the idea to add the appliquéd embellishment of old fashioned yo-yos. The scrunched up ends of those yo-yos plus the coloration of the quilt reminds me of the oriental poppy pods that end my gardening season dry.
This quilt is hand quilted and comes with a sleeve and an acid-free hanging insert to easily hang on any wall with two nails.
